The business
Finish Line Technologies, Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer of specialty bicycle lubricants and maintenance products. Based in the USA, their products are sold in over 50 countries through retail and direct-to-consumer channels.
The challenge
Finish Line needed to connect their new direct-to-consumer Shopify storefront to Acumatica — their ERP of record — to eliminate manual data entry and keep inventory, orders, and financial data in sync across systems.
For Acumatica merchants selling across the US, Avalara is the typical solution for sales tax compliance. But Finish Line was Nexus in New York only — a full tax engine was more than they needed at this stage. They wanted a simpler path: pass Shopify’s calculated tax totals directly into Acumatica.
The solution
CyberWorkshop deployed InSyncer to bridge Shopify and Acumatica, with Mayer Group ERP (Acumatica Gold Partner and 2026 Presidents Club Winner) handling the Acumatica side of the implementation. Project management was led by Melissa Heitmann at Frictionless.
InSyncer was configured to handle Finish Line’s specific operational requirements, with custom functionality developed to meet the unique needs of their business.

The results
Finish Line went live on Shopify with Acumatica fully connected through InSyncer. Tax sync was resolved using InSyncer’s Tax Amount Override — no Avalara, no manual jurisdiction setup in Acumatica. Shopify Tax handles the calculation; InSyncer passes the total into a single SHOPIFY tax ID in Acumatica.
