Why teams replace the native Acumatica Shopify connector.
Acumatica ships its own Shopify connector. It works for some setups. These are the reasons teams switch.
"Your app is fantastic and has saved us a huge headache. It works better and easier for us than the native Acumatica Cloud ERP app they built themselves." — Snuggle Puppy, United States
Customer pricing only goes so far
The native connector handles base price lists. The further you go into Acumatica's pricing engine — per-customer rates, contract pricing, layered overrides — the more it falls behind. InSyncer was built with customer-specific pricing as the headline feature, not a side capability.
Configuration stays stable across upgrades
The native connector is configured through Acumatica entity mappings and sync templates. That ties your integration to the version you're on. InSyncer connects via stable API endpoints on both sides — an Acumatica upgrade doesn't break the sync.
We set it up. You don't.
The native connector is software only — you configure it, troubleshoot it, debug the entity mappings. InSyncer is Software-with-a-Service. We scope it, wire it against your real Acumatica data, run UAT with you, and stay involved after go-live.
One team across both sides
When the native connector misbehaves, your Shopify agency raises a ticket with your Acumatica VAR, who escalates to Acumatica support. That loop is slow. We've built and supported InSyncer end to end since 2014 — same team handles ERP and Shopify.

Acumatica Shopify integration — FAQ.
- Does Acumatica have a native Shopify integration?
- Yes. Acumatica ships a native Shopify connector. It handles basic price and inventory sync for straightforward setups. Teams running complex B2B pricing — customer-specific rates, contract pricing, quantity breaks, or trade catalogues — typically find it falls short and switch to a specialist connector like InSyncer.
- What does InSyncer sync between Acumatica and Shopify?
- Pricing (retail and customer-specific trade pricing), inventory (multi-warehouse, with channel buffers), orders (Shopify → Acumatica sales orders), customers, and payments. B2B tier also includes quantity breaks, trade catalogues per company, on-account checkout, and credit limit surfacing.
- How long does setup take?
- Most B2C builds go live in 2–8 weeks from scoping call to launch. B2B projects with complex pricing structures take longer. CyberWorkshop handles the full setup — configuration, testing against your real Acumatica data, and UAT.
- Does InSyncer support Acumatica B2B pricing in Shopify?
- Yes. InSyncer's B2B tier syncs customer-specific pricing from Acumatica price classes, customer classes, and contract pricing into Shopify B2B catalogues and price lists. Quantity breaks, volume pricing, and dated promotional pricing all sync. It works with Shopify and Shopify Plus.
- What Acumatica editions are supported?
- InSyncer works across Acumatica Distribution, Manufacturing, and Retail-Commerce editions. It connects via stable Acumatica API endpoints, so upgrades do not break the integration.
- Shopify orders are failing in Acumatica with a US sales tax error. What causes that?
- Shopify calculates US sales tax at the delivery address, in every jurisdiction, automatically. Acumatica calculates from tax zones you configure in advance, so an order from a jurisdiction it has no configuration for is declined. InSyncer's Tax Amount Override sends Shopify's exact tax figure through and tells Acumatica not to recalculate it, which removes the need for a configured jurisdiction per destination. - What markets do you serve?
- Global — US, Canada, UK, EU, and APAC. The team is based in Auckland, NZ, and schedules around timezone overlap for live calls, deployments, and incident response.
