365 Salon Group serves salons and consumers from one Shopify store synced to MYOB Exo

Australian distributor of premium hair care brands syncs MYOB Exo pricing and stock to one Shopify store for trade salons and retail shoppers.

SCROLL

The business

365 Salon Group is the exclusive Australian distributor for a range of premium hair care brands. It sells to professional salons and stylists, and directly to consumers.

The challenge

Trade and retail were split across separate platforms. Salons and consumers need different prices, see different products and expect GST shown differently, and keeping two systems in step with MYOB Exo created constant admin. 365 wanted a single store that could serve both audiences from the same ERP data.

The solution

365 Salon Group moved trade and retail onto one Shopify store, with InSyncer syncing it to MYOB Exo. Exo controls pricing and stock. Salons see trade pricing excluding GST and trade-only products. Consumers see retail pricing including GST. The sales team works from dashboards built on the same synced data, and product images update automatically from Google Drive.

What InSyncer syncs

  • Pricing: trade and retail prices from Exo, with GST shown to suit each customer type
  • Inventory: Exo stock levels update in real time for both trade and retail shoppers
  • Product visibility: trade-only products are shown only to salon accounts
  • Images: product images sync automatically from Google Drive

The results

Trade and retail now run from one Shopify store, with Exo as the only place prices and stock are maintained. Salons can reorder quickly from their phones, and there’s less manual order processing. The sales team works from the same live data as its customers.
