How to Set Up Inventory Sync Between MYOB Acumatica and Shopify

InSyncer keeps your Shopify stock levels in sync with MYOB Acumatica inventory. This guide covers how the inventory sync works and how it’s configured.

How inventory sync works

Stock levels from Acumatica push to Shopify automatically. When inventory changes in Acumatica (sales, receipts, transfers, adjustments), those changes are reflected in your Shopify store.

The sync supports multiple warehouse locations. Each Acumatica warehouse can be mapped to a Shopify location, giving you accurate per-location stock visibility on your storefront.

Configuration

Inventory sync configuration is handled by the CyberWorkshop team during implementation. The key settings include:

  • Warehouse mapping: Which Acumatica warehouses map to which Shopify locations
  • Product matching: How Acumatica stock items are matched to Shopify products (typically by SKU)
  • Sync frequency: How often inventory levels are checked and updated
  • Buffer stock: Optional safety stock levels to prevent overselling

Multi-warehouse support

If your business operates from multiple warehouses, InSyncer can sync each warehouse’s stock levels to the corresponding Shopify location. This is particularly useful for businesses offering click-and-collect or location-based fulfilment.

Troubleshooting

If inventory levels appear incorrect in Shopify:

  1. Check the InSyncer sync logs for errors
  2. Verify the product SKU matches between Acumatica and Shopify
  3. Confirm the warehouse mapping is correct
  4. Contact info@insyncer.com if the issue persists
