How to Connect MYOB Exo with Shopify
This guide covers the process of connecting your on-premise MYOB Exo system with Shopify using InSyncer.
Prerequisites
- An active MYOB Exo installation with API access enabled
- The Exo API is included with your Exo installation — no additional license required
- Your MYOB consultant may need to configure search templates and custom tables
- A Shopify store (standard Shopify for B2C, Shopify Plus for B2B features)
- Contact with the CyberWorkshop team to begin scoping
Step 1: Install InSyncer from the Shopify App Store
Search for “InSyncer for MYOB Exo” in the Shopify App Store. Click “Add app” and follow the installation prompts.
Step 2: Exo-side configuration
Your MYOB consultant sets up the Exo-side requirements:
- API access and endpoint configuration
- Search templates for product and pricing data
- Custom tables where needed (e.g. SHOPIFY_GENERAL_INFO for delta stock sync)
- Customer mapping configuration
Step 3: InSyncer configuration
The CyberWorkshop team configures InSyncer for your business:
- Product and SKU mapping between Exo and Shopify
- Pricing rules (retail, trade)
- Inventory sync settings and warehouse mapping
- Order creation rules and customer matching
- Payment method mapping
Step 4: Testing
The integration runs in test mode before going live. We verify pricing accuracy, inventory levels, order flow, and customer mapping against your real data.
Step 5: Go live
Once testing is complete, the integration goes live with monitoring during the first few days.
Key difference from Acumatica
Unlike Acumatica, MYOB Exo doesn’t require a separate API license — the Exo API is included with the product. Your MYOB consultant handles the Exo-side setup, and the CyberWorkshop team handles everything on the Shopify and integration side.
