Inventory Sync and Delta Stock Pattern for MYOB Exo

InSyncer uses a delta sync pattern for MYOB Exo inventory that’s more efficient and reliable than full catalogue syncs.

How it works

Rather than syncing the entire product catalogue on a schedule, InSyncer identifies and syncs only the SKUs that have changed since the last sync. This is managed through a custom SHOPIFY_GENERAL_INFO table in Exo and a search template that returns only modified stock items.

What it catches

The delta sync pattern catches all types of inventory changes:

  • Sales transactions
  • Stock transfers between locations
  • Manual stock adjustments
  • Goods receipts
  • Bulk imports
  • Price utility updates
  • Period-end resets

Because it monitors the underlying data rather than relying on ERP triggers, it doesn’t miss changes regardless of how they were made.

Multi-store support

The delta sync is multi-store ready via a SHOP_ID field. Each Shopify store connected to the same Exo system has its own sync tracking, so changes are pushed to the right store at the right time.

Benefits

  • Fast: Only changed SKUs are synced, not the entire catalogue
  • Efficient: Minimal load on your Exo system
  • Reliable: Catches all change types without depending on ERP triggers
  • Accurate: Shopify stock levels reflect the true state of your Exo inventory

Setup

The delta stock sync is configured by the CyberWorkshop team in collaboration with your MYOB consultant. The Exo-side setup (custom table and search template) is handled by your consultant. InSyncer configuration is handled by CyberWorkshop.
